Escalator Safety Device

Description of functions

1Lack of phase,error phase protection

Iflack of phase or error phase has been checked out,the escalator(moving walkway)will automatically stop the operation.

2Motor over-load protection

When the current exceeds 15%of the current rating,the escalator will automatically stop the operation.

3Electrical appliance loop protection

It offers the automatic circuit disconnecting device to protect the circuit and mains components of the escalator(moving walkway).

4Handrail inlet protection

When some foreign substance has been clipped in the handrail inlet,the escalator(moving walkway)will automatically stop the operation.

5Comb plate safety device

When some foreign substance has been clipped in or between the combs,the escalator(moving walkway)will automatically stop the operation.

6Step sagging protection device

When there is abnormal step bending,the escalator(moving walkway)will stop the operation before the step entering into the comb plate.

7Broken drive-chain safety device

when the drive-chain has been over-stretched or it is broken,the escalator(moving walkway)will automatically stop the operation.

8Broken step chain protection

when the step(plate)chain has been over-stretched or it is broken,the escalator(moving walkway)will automaticaly stop the operation.

9Over-speed protection

When there is over-speed to the escalator(moving walkway),it will automatically stop the operation.

10Direction reversal protection

when it comes the unintentional reversal of the direction of travel,the escalator(moving walkway)will automatically stop the operation.

11Security line

The yellow synthetic resin security line is located in the front position and two sides of the escalator tread so that the passengers will not tread in-between the edge of the adjacent step and the lift group lengthened skirt panel.The security line on both sides of the step is higher than the tread surface.(The moving walkway ofers the selective yellow spray-painted security line.)

12Emergency stop button

When the button has been pressed down,the escalator(moving walkway)will stop the operation.

13Skirt panel protection

When some foreign substance has been clipped in between the skirt panel and the step,the escalator(moving wallkway)wil automaticaly stop the operation.

14Brake protection

When the electric force falls short of supply or it acts any of the safety device,the brake function goes into effect by the safety device through the spring resilience action.In this way,the escalator(moving walkway)stops the operation.

15Safety inspection switch

It is a safety device to prevent from the escalator starting during the inspection and maintenance.

16Step illumination

llumination exists in the upper and lower ends of the escalator,in the lower part of the step in order to remind the passengers of the security matters.

17Alarm bell starting device

The alarm bell rings when it starts the escalator in order to remind the passengers of the security matters.

18Control device for handrail breakage

When the handrail is broken,the escalator will automatically stop the operation.

19Skirt panel brush

The brush that has been installed between the skirt panel and the step will prevent the passengers from touching the skirt panel.(It is not merely restricted to the escalator.)

20VVVF variable frequency energy-saving system

When chooses the frequency converter,it can effectively reduce the energy consumption.

21Comb illumination

The ilumination has been instaled in the skirt panel near the comb plate.It offers the lighting for the step and the comb plate.It is more convenient for the passengers to up and down the escalator.

22Handrail illumination

The handrail ilumination has been installed in the handrail frame.The gentle light adds charm to the running escalator.

23Automatic start/stop

The infrared ray sensor which is near the floor plate can detect the passenger that enter into the floor plate.Then it will automatically start the operation.After all the passengers leave,it will automatically stop the operation again in order to save the energy loss.Scanning sensor and traditional guide rod are available for your choice.

STANDARD FUNCTIONS

Handrail inlet

The escalator is richly endowed with the intellgence and popularity by the novel, distinctive, elegant, tensile and modernized streamline handrail inlet and outlet design model.

It appears to be more beautiful in the outer appearance. It displays the nobleness and imposing manner of the conveying constructions.

Automatic oiling

PLC control automatic oiling and lubricating system fulfills the ideal automatic lubrication to the transmission chain duringthe running process of the escalator. It not only reduces thedaily repair and maintenance word load, but also prolongs the service life of the driving mechanism.

Automatic start / stop travel device

The sensor is near the floor plate to detect the approaching passengers and it will start automatically.It will automatically stop when all the passengers leave the lift.

Step chain-roller inbuilt

The roller has been internally installed in the specially-designed roller step chain.It can effectively fulfill the reduction of the noise during the driving process and bring about a more smooth and quiet operation.

Fault display

When some defect takes place, the trouble code will be displayed in the defect screen. It ensures the effective and accurate trouble position within the shortest time possible. In this way, it greatly enhances the repair and maintenance efficiency.

Demarcation lamp

Green fluorescent lamp is installed in upper /lower step tread. When two connecting steps stagger, green fluorescence gives light through step teeth. It helps thepassengers identify entry /exit horizontal step segments and enhances the travel safety.

ARRANGEMENT PLAN logical positioning systematic layout

Single unit

The single unit used to link two levels. It is suitable for buildings with passenger traffic flowing mainly in one direction. Flexible adjustment totraffic flow(e.g., up in the morning and down in the evening) is possible.

Continuous arrangement(one-way traffic)

This arrangement is used mainly in smaller department stores to link three sales levels.It requires more space than the interrupted arrangement.

Interrupted arrangement(one-way traffic)

This arrangement is somewhat inconvenient for users, but advantageous for department store owners, since the short detour to the next unit and the spatial separation between up and down travel is ideal for leading customers past strategically placed advertising displays.

Parallel,interrupted arrangement(two-way traffic)

This arrangement is used mainly in department stores and pubic transport buildings with a heavy traffic volume. When there are three or more escalators, it should be possible to reverse the traveling direction according to the traffic flow. This arrangement is economical, since no inner lateral claddings are required.

Crisscross,continuous arrangement(two-way traffic)

This arrangement is used mainly in major department stores, public buildings and public transport buildings where transport times between several levels should levels should be kept to a minimum.
