6 Stop switch and overhaul running device

(1) The stop switch is generally called an emergency stop switch, and a stop switch must be installed between the top of the car, the pit and the pulley as required.

(2) The overhaul operation is an operating state set for easy overhaul and maintenance, and is controlled by the overhaul operation device installed on the car top or other places.

7 Fire protection function

In the event of a fire, the hoistway is often a passage for smoke and flame to spread, and generally the landing door cannot work normally when the temperature is above 70℃. For the safety of passengers, in the event of a fire, all elevators must stop answering the call signal and return directly to the evacuation landing station, that is, it has the function of automatically returning to the base station after the fire.

Firefighters are using elevators or elevators with firefighter operation functions (generally called firefighting elevators). In addition to having the function of returning to the base station automatically, it is also used by firefighters to put out fires and rescue personnel.

The layout of the fire elevator should be able to avoid exposure to high-temperature flames in the event of a fire, and also prevent fire fighting water from flowing into the hoistway. Generally, the elevator landing station should be adjacent to the landing and include the landing. There is a fire door outside the landing to isolate the landing, and there is a fire door inside the landing to isolate the landing, so that when the elevator cannot be used, firefighters can use the stairway to return .

8 Protection against mechanical damage

Many moving parts of the elevator may encounter hazards such as impact, squeeze, and crush when people approach. In the work site, due to the height difference of the ground, there may also be risks such as falling, so protection must be taken.

Rotating parts that can be accessed by people during operation and maintenance, especially the protruding lock pins and screws on the drive shaft; steel belts, chains, belts; gears, sprockets; motor extension shafts; throwing ball speed governors, etc. Have a safety net cover or fence to prevent accidental touch. Smooth round parts such as traction wheel, turning wheel, flywheel, etc. may not be protected, but part or all of them should be painted yellow as a reminder.

Protective covers must be installed on the reverse sheaves of the car top and counterweight. The protective cover should be able to prevent the limbs or clothes of the person from being twisted in, and also to prevent foreign objects from falling in and the wire rope from coming out.

There should be barriers between the moving parts of different elevators in the area where the counterweight runs in the pit and the hoistway with multiple elevators.

When the ground height difference of the machine room is greater than 0.5m, railings and ladders should be installed at high places
When the horizontal distance between the edge of the car top and the wall of the hoistway exceeds 0.32m, a guardrail should be installed on the top of the car. The installation of the guardrail should not affect the safety of personnel and easily enter the car roof through the entrance.
