7 Fire protection function

The layout of the fire elevator should be able to avoid exposure to high-temperature flames in the event of a fire, and also prevent fire fighting water from flowing into the hoistway. 8 Protection against mechanical damage

Many moving parts of the elevator may encounter hazards such as impact, squeeze, and crush when people approach. In the work site, due to the height difference of the ground, there may also be risks such as falling, so protection must be taken.

Rotating parts that can be accessed by people during operation and maintenance, especially the protruding lock pins and screws on the drive shaft; steel belts, chains, belts; gears, sprockets; motor extension shafts; throwing ball speed governors, etc. Have a safety net cover or fence to prevent accidental touch. Smooth round parts such as traction wheel, turning wheel, flywheel, etc. may not be protected, but part or all of them should be painted yellow as a reminder.

Protective covers must be installed on the reverse sheaves of the car top and counterweight. The protective cover should be able to prevent the limbs or clothes of the person from being twisted in, and also to prevent foreign objects from falling in and the wire rope from coming out.

There should be barriers between the moving parts of different elevators in the area where the counterweight runs in the pit and the hoistway with multiple elevators.
