3 Protection against personnel cuts and falls
In elevator accidents, the proportion of accidents where people are sheared by the moving car or fall into the shaft is large, and the consequences of these accidents are very serious, so protection against personnel shearing and falling is very important.
The protection against personnel falling and shearing is mainly undertaken by the doors, door locks and door electrical safety contacts.
4 Buffer device
When the elevator or the counterweight squats due to control failure, insufficient traction or brake failure, the buffer will absorb the kinetic energy of the car or counterweight and provide final protection to ensure the safety of personnel and elevator structure.
5 Alarm and rescue device
When the elevator is trapped in the car, the alarm or communication device should be able to notify the management personnel in time and rescue the person from the car safely through the rescue device.
(1) Alarm device. The elevator must be equipped with emergency lighting and alarm devices, and be powered by emergency power.
(2) Rescue device. In the past, the rescue of trapped people in the elevator mainly used the method of self-rescue, that is, the operator in the car climbed from the upper safety window to the car roof to open the landing door. With the development of elevators, elevators without operator control are widely used, and the self-rescue method is not only very dangerous but also almost impossible. Therefore, the design of the elevator now determines that the rescue must be carried out from the outside. The rescue device includes an emergency manual operation device of the traction machine and a manual unlocking device of the landing door.
